Seminar on AI organised by ASTRI and HKSTP receives overwhelming response

Once again, seamless collaboration between ASTRI and HKSTP has reaped fruit and made the seminar on AI held on 18 October 2017 at Smart City Innovation Centre (SCIC) a full-house event with the participation of over 60 audience.

Hosting the seminars were two industry experts on AI namely, Mr Kei Tokunaga, Senior Account Manager of NEC Hong Kong Limited and Dr Cheung Ka-chun, Senior Engineer of Opto-electronics Division of ASTRI. Speaking on the topic “A Driver of the Digital Industrial Revolution – Social Value Creation by AI”, Mr Tokunaga share with participants how AI technology can help create a sustainable society. He also spoke about NEC’s vision and global strategies in AI technology development. Dr Cheung Ka-chun, on the other hand, spoke about “Deep Learning for Industry Machine Vision” and introduced the latest deep learning based inspection technologies to the audience.

Driving innovation and knowledge sharing, SCIC will organize more themed seminars in future. Stay tuned.
